Charlotte Rowan

Charlotte Rowan is recognised for her thrilling live performances and dazzling technique. She is a regular recitalist at concert venues and music festivals across the UK.  She particularly enjoys having performed at many of the country’s finest cathedrals, including Ely, Chichester, Winchester, Ripon, Manchester, Sout
hwark, Chelmsford, and St Mary’s, Edinburgh.

In America, Charlotte has given recitals for Baltimore Chamber Music Society and appeared on the Washington Performing Artist Series at the Smithsonian Institute.

Born in Scotland, Charlotte was accepted age 16 to study at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore from where she graduated with high honours. Teachers have included Professor Jerre Gibson and Violaine Melancon.

She currently plays a German violin by Fridolin Rusch of Memmingen, Bavaria.

Charlotte Stevenson enjoys a varied career as a pianist, singer and harpist. She gained her LRAM Diploma studying piano with Mary Moore and Janette Lamb. In recent years, Charlotte has been the regular accompanist for Charlotte Rowan performing throughout the UK. Charlotte has the rare distinction of her teacher (Janette Lamb) having been taught by a pupil of Clara Schumann.
